how to use search:

enter a query in at least 1 field

• search for text - enter any word or phrase
• author - as above
• title - as above
• date - select type of search from 1st menu, then enter a year(and month) in top field,(and in bottom field if searching between)
• printer/publisher* - any word or phrase
• place - any city
• holding institution - select from list

* - due to difficulty distinguishing printer from publisher these two fields have been merged into one
